The presentation of an asphalt surface depends on its treatment during the first few weeks after installation. The surface binder is soft until it oxidizes and the following should be avoided during this period:          Extreme turning of rubber-tyred vehicles especially with power steering.      Traffic prior to the asphalt cooling at 40degrees or below.    Leaking of any oil or petroleum product on the surface.   Point loading on the surface e.g. Trailer Jockey Wheel, Boats, Motor Cycle Stand etc.

There are measures that our experienced staff will take to help limit the damage as follows: –          We apply thin layer of sand or grit to promote slippage of rubber-tyred vehicles. –          We apply water to the finished asphalt pavement to accelerate the cooling process. –  We place planks or similar to distribute the weight from the point loading.

Quality is important to us and we can provide the advice to clients on the care of asphalt where required. Should you require assistance or advice please kindly contact our hotline number. (083 857 1456). We also offer no obligation quotes to our valued customers…
